6 Surefire Feel-Better Fixes

One bad day can throw off my energy levels. So I've gathered together 6 easy, safe, and effective ways to recharge. Most of my clients have become addicted to feeling great using these simple tactics. I use them almost every day. 

 

(ALL OF THESE ARE ALSO GREAT FOR HANGOVERS)

 

Magnesium Chloride Foot Bath

How?

Soak your feet in 1 cup of Magnesium Chloride flakes for 20+ minutes.

For who?

This is for people with tight muscles, joint problems, or an overloaded liver. (Hello New Orleans!) Magnesium helps relax muscles and is involved a lot of detox processes. 98% of all bodily processes. A Must for anyone with muscle/joint pain, PMS, and migraines. 

Why?

Because its easy and most people are deficient in Magnesium. This is the best way to absorb it. Oral supplements don’t seem to work well.

 

The Lemon Shot!

How?

1-2 teaspoons of Himalayan salt or sea salt mixed with 1-2 FRESH squeezed lemons. (Get a lemon squeezer to filter out seeds) Shoot it!

For who?

People who are tired or just want energy. Are you tired? Do you lack focus?

Poor sleep quality? Too many stimulants? This is your replacement.

Why?

Sugar free vitamin C, hydrating electrolytes, a great ALKALIZER.

It fuels your hormonal system. Long term, it is much safer than coffee.

It prepares your stomach and intestines for digestion.

 

The Morning Tea

How?

Cut up FRESH ginger and turmeric. Soak it in water to make a tea. Adding Coconut oil is optional.

For who?

Anyone with inflammation or a backed up liver, SO…everyone.

Why?

No digesting, no calories. This really cranks up your liver and clears your mind. Combine this with a lemon salt shot for an excellent morning!

 

Green Drink

How?

Blend: ginger, turmeric, lemon or lime, 1 full cucumber (or any other vegetable, spinach, maybe wheat grass), 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt, 1 scoop of coconut oil.

For who?

Someone that has the time to make it! This is for anyone that wants to recover, get focused and flood your body with nutrients.

Why?

This doesn’t have any calories and doesn’t burden your digestive system, yet it gives you energy without consuming stimulants.

 

Apple cider and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)

How?

2 shots of apple cider vinegar mixed with a tablespoon of baking soda

For who?

Anyone on a low budget who consumes excessive acid forming foods and substances.  It’s cheap and quick!

Why?

Because these things create acid: meat, processed sugar, coffee, dairy, alcohol, chemicals, lactic acid from exercise, and smoking.

Acid causes all kinds of problems. The apple cider and baking soda neutralizes acidity and alkalizes the system. Some say cancer cannot exist in an alkaline environment…

 

Walking for 20 minutes in the sunlight

How?

Walk outside and increase the surface area where the sun lights your skin for 20+ minutes.

For who?

Everyone needs it. Oral supplements are not as effective. Vitamin D, like magnesium, is a very common deficiency. (the top 2!) I‘ve noticed it helps me with depression among many other dysfunctions.

Why?

Walking burns fat and detoxes.
